The long walk
On Saturday 15th August, Treflyn – ISAAC International’s General Secretary walked 25 miles (39 km.) up the three tallest peaks in Northern England to raise funds for the network.
In Western countries, people are willing to give money to charity if someone takes up a tough physical challenge! Treflyn was hoping to raise £1000 as he informed his friends and well-wishers his intention to do this challenge. But we have been overwhelmed by people’s support and the total donations have exceeded £1300!
After the long walk Treflyn shared, “I had really good weather for the walk, thanks to many people’s prayers. I finished in 10 hours and 15 minutes while I was aiming for 12 hours. It was a great chance to be in beautiful countryside. I am so greatful for everyone who prayed for this walk and everyone who has made donations.”
Our funds go towards connecting, encouraging and equipping people working in addictions and recovery.
