Partnership: Our Secret Weapon

After decades in addiction/recovery ministry, across many nations and contexts, one truth has
become unmistakable to me: what unites us in Christ is more powerful than anything that seeks to keep people bound.
Partnership is not an optional extra in this work—it is spiritual armour.
Jesus announced His mission in Luke 4:18 echoing Isaiah 61: to proclaim good news, freedom,
healing, and release for the oppressed. And He entrusted that same calling to us in Mark 16:15.
Wherever we serve—large centres, small teams, government programmes, or as the lone Christian
supporting a struggling friend—we share this same Gospel mandate.
United in the Battle for Freedom
Addiction is not merely a behavioural struggle; it is a spiritual battle for the human heart. It demands
attention, consumes relationships, and reshapes identity. Only God can restore what addiction
destroys. Only His Spirit can transform a heart from self destruction to overflowing love.
That is why we fight best when we fight together.
Through ISAAC, we are a global family—different cultures, different methods, different resources,
but one calling: to help set the captives free in Jesus’ name. When one of us is weary, another can lift
their arms. When one rejoices, we all rejoice. This is how we fulfil the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).
The Power of United Prayer
Jesus promised that when even two or three agree in prayer, He is present among them (Matthew 18:19-20). I have seen this truth sustained through war, crisis, and ministry challenges. God hears.
God moves. But often not in the way or timing we expect—His ways are higher (Isaiah 55: 8-9).
We all face seasons of strength and seasons of weakness. In those moments, shared prayer becomes
a lifeline. It strengthens feeble knees, restores courage, and reminds us that we are never alone.
Let’s Stand Together
The love of Christ binds us across borders and backgrounds. As we share our joys, burdens, and
breakthroughs, we become a living testimony of Jesus’ command: “Love one another… By this everyone will know that you are my disciples” (John 13:34-35).
Partnership is our secret weapon. Prayer is our shared power. Christ is our victory.
