Renewal & change at ISAAC Global Conference

10th December 2024 Asia, Connect, Encourage, Equip 0

Our first post-pandemic ISAAC Global Conference took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September, with 114 Christian Addictions Recovery workers, from 23 nations, across 6 continents taking part in the week.

“One in four of all delegates spoke at the conference either in the form of a keynote, workshop, panel discussion or testimony. As a network that seeks to mobilise our members to equip one another, we are delighted with this statistic.” Mitha Bleasdale from ISAAC International shared.

One delegate said “What I found most encouraging about our time together was the sense of unity and shared purpose, as people came together with the same goal of renewal and change. The genuine friendships and deep conversations, along with the learning, really showed how working together from different perspectives can bring real change.”

When we asked our delegates what their ‘top takeaway point’ from from the week was, the recurring theme was involving God more in professional and personal lives to make a meaningful impact.

29 full and 12 part Bursaries were given out in total, raised from 11 sources, and a recipient from Nigeria shared that “I am truly grateful for the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable insights that will benefit my work. I look forward to applying what I’ve learned to make a positive difference in the lives of those I serve.
