ISAAC Nigeria hosts it’s first seminar
character, capacity building and the need to get involved

The Nigeran chapter of ISAAC International has just hosted it’s first in-person seminar. Newly appointed ISAAC Nigeria Coordinator, Ejikeme McBishops Ogueji hosted the event which invited five other speakers and brought together about twelve Christian organisations. The group was a mix of parents, Christian addictions professionals and other stakeholders. Many were just learning about ISAAC and our vision through this gathering for the first time.
The event, that was based in Kaduna had speakers in-person and online. “We love the enthusiasm and creativity of the ISAAC Africa team when it comes to connecting with one another whether to connect, encourage or equip each other” shared Mitha Bleasdale, ISAAC Communications Manager.
The theme for the day was Incorporating Faith Based Solutions into Addiction Prevention and Recovery. Some themes that emerged was the need for “character, capacity building and the need to get involved” shared Ejikeme, ISAAC Nigeria Coordinator.
ISAAC Africa Regional Coordinator, Ikenna Molobe and ISAAC West Africa Coordinator, Amb. Chris Ibe gave excellent keynote speeches that inspired the participants to become change agents and make a difference in society. Our other speakers were: Pst. Mrs. Esther Okunade, Pharmacist Ijeoma Nwobu and Rev. Dr. Mandy who shared on the theme from their varied experience.
