What do good train schedules, great jokes and God’s plan have in common? The answer – perfect timing.

One of the core functions of ISAAC is simply to Connect. We recognize that God can do powerful things through us who know him when we make the time and effort to connect with each other.
Viljam Borissenko recently shared with us, “After my own rehabilitation from heroin addiction I started working in the centre where I did my program. I was so passionate about the work we did! I thought this is it.
“Over time and through friends from the ISAAC network, God started to plant a new thought in me. I started to see how the other 12 Christian rehabs in Estonia were similar but different to the Village of Hope where I was. Each had a purpose in God’s bigger plan. I felt God revealing to me that we would be stronger when we were united.

“God gave my wife a similar vision. We started to feel that there was a calling for us to promote unity and facilitate ways in which all the Christian recovery projects could work together. We took the decision to leave the security of what we knew and take our young family to live in Estonia’s capital city Tallinn to join the Public Foundation of Hope.

“My work now has two main streams – to encourage unity among all the Christian projects in Estonia who would like to come together under Christ’s headship. We meet regularly at Round Table meetings to discuss our plans and priorities as we pray for one another.

“The second part of my work is to be a liaison between us (the Christian projects) and the relevant Government services. Together those projects represent over 300 beds*. Our unity gives us a stronger voice when we liaise with Government services. When Ministers visit our Round Table meetings we include them in our times of prayer.

“My encouragement to you, my ISAAC brothers and sisters is this: If God has placed something on your heart – he will bring it about at the right time. God’s timing is perfect – you can trust in Him as a child trusts a loving Father.”

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
Galatians 4: 4-7
